IBM Opens First Power Application Center in Shanghai

IBM recently announced that it has opened its first global Power Application Center in Shanghai, China, which will focus on applications based on IBM Power architecture. Members of the Power.org organization, which is based in Beijing with more than 40 members and which aims at stimulating cooperation for development of Power architecture, will have a prominent role in the center. Applications developed at the center will target several industries, including telecom equipment, consumer electronics, and car electronics.
